Eight Vandal Golfers Earn Scholar All-America Honors

MOSCOW, Idaho – Eight Idaho Vandal golfers, four men and four women, were named Scholar All-Americans by their respective coaches association.
 
Dalton Dean, Sam Johnson, Matt McGann and Joe Sykes earned Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar honors by the Golf Coaches Association of America. Emma Heyman, Jenna Bruggeman, Laua Caamano and Emma Kang picked up Women's Golf Coaches Association All-America honors.
 
To earn the Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar honors, players must earn a 3.2 GPA, played in 50% of a team's competition and carry a stroke average under 76. To earn WGCA, a player must carry a 3.5 GPA finish the season with the team and played in 50% of the team's competitions.
 
Heyman and Kang earned Scholar All-America honors and Bruggeman picked her fourth consecutive honor.
 
All four men earned Scholar All-America honors a season ago and McGann earned the recognition for his third consecutive season.
