MOSCOW, Idaho - On Friday, The Big Sky Conference announced the preseason polls for the 2025 volleyball campaign. These polls also included a preseason all-conference team, the first ever for league volleyball.
Idaho, having reloaded on transfer and high school talent in the offseason, looks to make some waves in year two under head coach Romana Redondo Kriskova, and the first without an interim tag attached to her title.
Weber State was tabbed to finish atop the Big Sky with five first place votes. Defending regular-season champs Northern Colorado were slotted in second place with a pair of votes themselves, and the top three was rounded out with a tie between Idaho State and Sacramento State.
The 2025 season officially gets underway next Friday, with all ten teams opening their seasons on Aug. 29. This will include the opening day of the Vandal Volleyball Invitational, returning to Memorial Gym after a one-year hiatus. Idaho will face off with Oral Roberts at 10:00am and conclude the day vs. Cal State Fullerton at 7:00pm.
The invitational will end with the Vandals taking on the Portland Pilots at 1:00pm on Saturday. The other visiting teams will face off with each other in the other three matches in between.
