MOSCOW, Idaho — A shorthanded Idaho women's soccer team couldn't convert on its chances and dropped a 1-0 decision to South Dakota on Sunday at the P1FCU Kibbie Dome.
The Vandals (2-2-2) matched the Coyotes with nine shots, but only three were on frame.
Georgia Whitehead,
Amalia Fonua and
Karina Da Silva each registered shots on goal, while Whitehead also hit the crossbar with a late attempt.
Goalkeeper
Paula Flores made one save in the game while facing nine shots. The Vandals pressed late, earning two second-half corner kicks and firing multiple attempts in the final minutes, but couldn't find the equalizer after South Dakota broke through in the 58th minute.
The loss was the first at home since Oct. 1, 2023.
Idaho returns to action Thursday night when it hosts UTEP at the P1FCU Kibbie Dome at 7 p.m.
