"Very excited about this week – the home opener. Obviously, a very big season, as well. The 50
th Anniversary of the Kibbie Dome. Probably the most unique and probably the most iconic home stadium in all of college football." –
Head Coach Thomas Ford Jr.
St. Thomas (1-0) vs. No. 10/11 Idaho (0-1)

THINGS TO LOOK FOR
- Thomas Ford Jr. looks to record his first win as head coach at the University of Idaho
- UI is looking to extend its home win streak to seven consecutive games
- In honor of Ag Appreciation Week, Idaho has partnered with The Field Rush to create this week's alternate "Fightin' Taters" decal that has been featured on websites and social media such as ESPN, Barstool, Sports Illustrated, Athlon Sports, Unnecessary Roughness, and more.
TRADITIONS
Idaho Athletics is excited to announce two traditions that will be taking place on Saturday.
The
inaugural Vandal Run will happen before Saturday's game. Idaho students are invited to run in front of the home crowd into the P1FCU Kibbie Dome just prior to kickoff against St. Thomas. 500 exclusive shirts will be handed out at the east practice field starting at 11:30 a.m. Participating students will also be provided free snacks and beverages.
Idaho football is also revitalizing a dormant tradition and is bringing back the first
Vandal Walk in the last several years. Every home game, the football team and coaches will kick off the opening of Vandal Village by walking through the crowd and greeting fans as they make their way into the Dome before the game starts. This will take place approximately two and a half hours before kickoff and just prior to Vandal Village opening.
