MOSCOW, Idaho – The Idaho Vandals have landed in the Top 25 polls for the 37th week in a row. As the third week of the season begins, they hold the No. 8 spot in the Stats Perform Top 25 and No. 10 in the AFCA Coaches poll. This is the second-longest streak of weeks ranked in the Top 25 in school history (42: 1992-1995)
Idaho is coming off their first win of the 2025 campaign, defeating St. Thomas in their home opener. Idaho's big win was highlighted by a 37-point effort on offense, led by quarterback Joshua Wood, who tallied 377 total yards and four touchdowns, en route to winning Big Sky Conference Player of the Week.
On defense, team captain Dylan Layne led the effort, recording a career-high 12 tackles to pace the Vandals' defense. Meanwhile, Hayden John added a career-best 10 tackles to help Idaho record its first win of the season.
On the offensive side of the ball, wide receivers Tony Harste (five receptions, 92 yards, one touchdown) and Ryan Jezioro (six receptions, 83 yards, one touchdown) each had career days as Idaho won its seventh consecutive game in the P1FCU Kibbie Dome.
