FARMINGTON, Utah – The Big Sky Conference announced on Tuesday that this Thursday's game between Idaho Vandals Women's Basketball and Northern Colorado will be the conference's game of the week. 

In what is undoubtedly the biggest game in the Big Sky this week, the matchup features the Vandals (15-5, 6-1) and the Bears (15-6, 6-2) who are currently in second and third place in the Big Sky Conference. The game will take place on Thursday at 11 a.m. and is Northern Colorado's education day. The game can be seen on ESPN+.

Idaho and Northern Colorado are two of the most high-octane offenses in the league. The Vandals lead the Big Sky in scoring at nearly 80 points per game and are led in scoring by Kyra Gardner (13.9 ppg) and Hope Hassmann (13.4 ppg). In addition, Ana Pinheiro is putting up 10.7 points per game, and Debora Dos Santos, last week's Big Sky Conference Player of the Week, is contributing 10.4 ppg off the bench and leads the team in rebounding with 7.5 rpg. 

Northern Colorado also has four players scoring 10 or more points per contest, and are led by Neenah George who is scoring 13.6 points per game.

The Vandals came into the season picked third in the Big Sky Conference preseason coaches and media polls. Northern Colorado has probably been the biggest surprise in the league however, sitting in third place in the conference table in late January after being picked seventh in the coaches poll, and ninth in the media poll. 

This is Idaho's first time being featured in the conference's game of the week this season.
