MOSCOW, Idaho - After a dominant performance in St. George, Idaho Swim and Dive split into two groups for three separate competitions. The dive team traveled to the NAU Diving Invitational, while the swimmers headed to Washington State before returning home to host the Cougars for Idaho's annual senior day.

The Vandals honored their senior class prior to the meet, recognizing their contributions to the program and celebrating their careers in front of the home crowd. The seniors recognized included swimmers Madelynn Butler, Cadence Gabel, Ginger Kiefer, Avery Keinonen, Amelia Perkins, Grace Ruble, and Bethany Rahn, along with diver Maya Salvitti.

Idaho's swimmers traveled to Pullman to face Washington State in the annual two-day dual. Ginger Kiefer led the Vandals, finishing third overall in the individual rankings. She captured gold in the 100 Y IM with a time of 57.29 and added a third-place finish in the 400 Y IM at 4:23.69. Marie Mason finished right behind Kiefer in the 400-yard IM, taking fourth with a time of 4:24.83.

Katy Foley took home third in the 100 Y Backstroke (56.74), while Madelynn Butler contributed two fourth-place finishes in the 50 Y Freestyle (23.73) and 100 Y Freestyle (51.53). Courtney Crawford added a fourth-place finish in the 200 Y Backstroke (2:21.30), Holly Lenarz placed fourth in the 500 Y Freestyle (5:00.89),and Adelaide McRoberts took fourth in the 100 Y Butterfly (56.04). The Vandals also posted a third-place finish in the 400 Y Freestyle Relay (3:27.10), led by Isabelle Borke, Madelynn Butler, Katy Foley, and Sydney Heasman.

After the Pullman meet, Idaho returned home to host Washington State for Senior Day in the UI Swim Center. Marie Mason highlighted the meet, capturing gold and breaking her own school record in the 1,000 Y freestyle with a time of 10:08.85. This marked the second school record for the sophomore after she set the all-time mark in the event earlier this year, winning MPSF Athlete of the Week honors in the process. Mason was joined by Madelynn Butler, who took first in the 100 Y Butterfly (55.43), and Ginger Kiefer, who claimed gold in the 200 Y IM (2:02.09).

Kiefer also earned second in the 100 Y Backstroke (54.85), while Courtney Crawford took silver in the 100 Y Breaststroke (1:03.76). Other top performers included Grace Ruble with third in the 200 Y Butterfly, Isabelle Borke with third in the 100 Y Freestyle (52.25), Holly Lenarz with third in the 500 Y Freestyle (5:02.57), Helen Schumaker with second in the 100 Y Butterfly (58.23), and Jaidan Engle finishing third in the same event (58.87). Natalie Charles rounded out the top individual efforts with third in the 200 Y IM (2:07.58).

The Vandals also posted strong relay performances, taking second in the 200 Y Freestyle Relay (1:34.85) with Butler, Borke, Foley, and Heasman leading the way, and third in the 400 Y Medley relay (3:45.77), paced by Kiefer, Crawford, Butler, and Borke.

Idaho's divers opened the weekend at the NAU Diving Invitational in Flagstaff, Arizona. Maya Salvitti led the charge, finishing fourth overall on platform with a score of 485.20 and placing seventh on the 3M dive at 529.70. Amelia Ward posted 463.10 in the 1M dive, finishing 16th, followed closely by Lauren Wierschke with 433.10. Saige Anderson also posted a solid outing with a score of 231.85 in the preliminaries.

The Vandals will head to Pharr, Texas, to compete in their first-ever MPSF Conference Championship Meet, aiming to earn berths to the NCAA Diving Zones E Championships and the NCAA Division I Swimming and Diving Championships.
