MOSCOW, Idaho – After going 2-0 this last week, including winning the season Battle for King Spud, the Idaho Women's Basketball team has moved up in the College Insider Mid-Major Top 25, sliding up a spot to No. 21 in the rankings. 

With an 80-67 win over Weber State, followed by a 65-50 victory in Pocatello over Idaho State, the Idaho Vandals have extended their winning streak to 10 games – the longest such streak in the conference this season. Hope Hassmann starred in the Vandal victory in Ogden, scoring a career high 25 points and surpassing the 1,000-career point mark against the Wildcats. Lorena Barbosa had one of her best games of the season against Idaho State, leading the Vandals with 15 points and tying for the team high with eight boards. Debora Dos Santos also contributed 14 points and eight rebounds. 

Idaho sits in first place in the Big Sky Conference with a 21-5 (12-1) record. The Vandals are the only team in the Big Sky Conference with 20 or more wins, and are the only team in the Big Sky with 12 or more wins in conference play. Idaho's 10-game winning streak is the program's longest since the 2013-14 season. With 21 wins on the year, Idaho has recorded its most wins since the 2019-20 season when the Vandals went 22-9 and advanced to the Big Sky Championship game, which ultimately was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
