MOSCOW, Idaho - The Vandals enter the final stretch of their indoor season with the Big Sky Conference meet in Pocatello starting this Thursday, February 29. Heptathlon events will begin at 10:00 a.m. MT on Thursday, with the rest of the field and running events taking place on Friday and Saturday.

Over 30 athletes will represent Idaho in this weekend's meet. With a record-setting season in the books, the Moscow team fights for conference championships in a range of events.

Day one will put a spotlight on Hanna Tait as she guides Idaho through the Heptathlon. The sophomore recently broke the school's long jump record with 6.31 meters at the Idaho Team Challenge earlier in the month. This jump not only earned her a Big Sky Athlete of the Week nod, but also placed her second in the conference this season. Tait won the heptathlon at the 2024 Big Sky Outdoor Track & Field Championship during her freshman year and is fighting for another title. The Grafton, New South Wales native will also be competing in the women's long jump on Friday alongside fellow Vandals Mara Fuerniss, Jada Miller, and Sydnie Zywina.

Friday and Saturday will consist of 14 events on both the men's and the women's side. Keenan Kuntz is competing for the top spot on the podium in the 60m after breaking the Big Sky record and sliding into the top ranked spot nearly three weeks ago. Cami Cvitkovich and Jana Willems are also ranked top three in the Big Sky for the long jump and 60m, respectively. 

The meet will end on Saturday with the men's and women's 4x400m relays around 2:30 p.m. MT.

UP NEXT
The qualifying Vandals will close the indoor season in Fayetteville, Arkansas, at the Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships. The meet will be held on March 13 and 14.
