MOSCOW, Idaho  In Saturday's showdown with the team across the river, the Idaho Men's Tennis team rose victorious, defeating Lewis-Clark State 6-1.
The Vandals took the early lead, earning the doubles point with a clean 3-0 sweep. Idaho displayed two new doubles pairings. In the two-spot, Mikolaj Lis and Noe De Col, and in the three-spot, Chetanna Amadike and Valentin Glasl. A duo making their debut together, Paul Janson and Eric Wang played in the number one spot for the first time this year.
Moving into singles play, the Brave and Bold kept the momentum rolling as they took five of the six matches. Amadike secured his win in the number one spot, taking down LCSC's Pablo Herrera Serna 7-5 and then shutting him down 6-0. This marked the senior from Calgary's second home win of the season.
On court number three, Mikolaj Lis also sealed his second consecutive home win. Lis brought down his opponent 6-2, 6-2.
Valentine Glasl closed the final match of the day for the Vandals in two sets, 6-3, 6-4. This win on court six finished the day with a final score favoring the hosts 6-1.

UP NEXT: This upcoming weekend, Idaho will be taking a road trip down to Boise on February 6-7, to compete in the Broncos' round robin tournament alongside Linfield.
