GAME NOTES (PDF)

BOISE, Idaho – The Idaho Vandals Women's Basketball team (27-5, 17-1) continues its march through Big Sky play, and will face the No. 5 seed Sacramento State Hornets (15-17, 8-10) on Tuesday, Mar. 10 in the Vandals' home away from home, Boise's Idaho Central Arena.

The game will tip off at 11 a.m. PT. Tracy Warren and Krista Redpath will have the call on ESPN+, while Doug Taylor, the Voice of the Vandals, can be heard over the airwaves on the Vandal Athletics Radio Network.

This is the 31st meeting in series history against the Hornets, and the final time the two will meet at Big Sky Conference foes. This is also the second time the two teams have met in the conference tournament, the other coming in 2023.

Idaho enters the game at the No. 1 seed in the Big Sky tournament and the outright regular-season conference champion. The Vandals earned their way to the Big Sky semifinals by beating No. 9 Weber State on Sunday, giving Idaho its first berth in the semis since 2022.

The 2025-26 season has been a historic one for Idaho. Currently riding a 16-game winning streak, the Vandals broke the school record for most consecutive wins in the NCAA era with their win against Weber State. With 14 home wins, the Vandals tied the program record for most wins in Moscow in a season, as well. They also broke the record for most conference wins in a season with 17. Idaho still has a chance to chase history, as they look to tie the school record for most wins in a season (28, 1984-85). Should Idaho beat Sacramento State on Tuesday, it would give the Vandals their first berth in a championship since the COVID-shortened 2019-20 season, when the championship game was canceled.

The Vandals have been one of the best rebounding teams in the entire nation this season, and have led the Big Sky on the glass all year. Idaho finished the regular season ranked in the top 15 nationally in every major rebounding statistic and led the conference on the glass all year.

Idaho also boasts the top scoring offense in the conference this season. At 78.2 points per game, the Vandals led the Big Sky in scoring, and rank 21st in the country.
