Isiah King Signs UDFA Contract with Philadelphia Eagles

MOSCOW, Idaho - At the conclusion of the NFL draft on Saturday, Former Idaho linebacker Isiah King signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Philadelphia Eagles, making him the first member of the Vandals' 2025 roster to earn a professional opportunity in the biggest football league in the world.

King, a San Diego native, initially came to Moscow in 2021 as a defensive back, appearing in three games and preserving his redshirt. After moving to linebacker in 2022, he totaled 19 tackles and an interception as a redshirt freshman.

He became a key part of the Vandals' rotation in 2024, racking up 48 tackles, 2.5 for loss, two picks, and a sack. As a full-time starter in 2025, King racked up career highs in tackles (79), TFLs (9), and sacks (3) while also forcing a fumble.

Head coach Thomas Ford, who was at Idaho for nearly all of King's college career, is thrilled for his former player.

"I couldn't be more excited for Isiah! He embodies what being a Vandal is all about," said Ford. Watching him go through his development here has been so rewarding. Played a ton of [special teams] as a young player for me when I was the coordinator and had a phenomenal senior season here in Moscow. Everyone in the building knew he was a Sunday guy, so I'm ecstatic to see him get his chance with the Eagles!"

King joins the Super Bowl LIX champions as part of their 2026 draft class, which did not feature another linebacker selected in Pittsburgh. He will join former Idaho teammate and New Mexico Lobo graduate Keyshawn James-Newby, who was selected in the seventh round, in Philadelphia. Another FCS connection will feature safety Cole Wisniewski, who starred at North Dakota State before finishing his career at Texas Tech.
