MOSCOW, Idaho – Idaho soccer remained unbeaten to start the 2026 season Tuesday night, battling Western Michigan to a 1-1 draw in the Vandals' first match of their Outrigger Invitational appearance. 

The draw moved Idaho to 2-0-1 on the season, lengthening the UI's unbeaten start through their first three matches. 

After opening the year with back-to-back shutouts over Washington State and CSUN, Idaho conceded its first goal of the season against WMU, ending a stretch of two consecutive scoreless victories to begin the 2026 campaign. 

Hallie Prinos-Grumbach found the back of the net for her second goal of the season, and the sole goal of the game. Miranda Goldner provided the assist, setting up Prinos-Grumbach for a right-footed finish into the bottom-left corner, putting the Vandals ahead, 1-0. 

Idaho took their one-goal advantage into the break and continued to hold off the Broncos through the opening 30 minutes of the second half. 

After four saves from Paula Flores, Western Michigan finally found their mark with 14:60 minutes left, as Camryn Huhn scored an unassisted goal. 

Huhn's goal is the first goal allowed by the powerful Vandal squad this season, snapping an almost 256 minute stretch without conceding a goal.  
 
The two teams remained closely matched through their first meeting in program history. Idaho recorded 11 shots, with five on goal, while the Broncos finished with 12 shots and six attempts on frame 

Tori Peters led the Black and Gold with three shots, coming in right in front of Sara Rodgers, Quinn Mueller, and Payton Oelkers who each added two. Both of Mueller's attempts were on goal.  

Neither side was able to find the advantage over the final 14 minutes as the Vandals secured their third consecutive unbeaten result of their 2026 campaign
