MOSCOW, Idaho - Ahead of the anticipated matchup between Idaho Football and Utah in Salt Lake City, Idaho Athletics has announced the opening of an auction for the football game week paintings, allowing Vandal fans to claim an original piece commissioned by the program.
The paintings, created by Moscow artist Emma Cuddy, will be published each week throughout the season on Idaho Athletics' Instagram and X pages. The Week 1 painting, which depicts starting quarterback Joshua Wood, received national acclaim, especially from outlets such as The Athletic, SWX, and more.
Cuddy, an Idaho student and aspiring filmmaker studying art, is hand-painting all twelve of the Vandals' regular-season game-week prints. She collaborated with UI's Director of Video Production and Creative Content, Richard Pathomsiri.
"What you need to do is try to put football players in situations that seem bigger than life," Pathomsiri told Cuddy, as quoted in the article from The Athletic.
The auction website is live and can be found HERE. Proceeds from the paintings will benefit Idaho Athletics' strategic initiatives as well as the artist.
