"I'm proud of our guys this week for getting into a position to win a golf tournament with 18 holes to play. Before you can win, you need to be a team that can work yourself into a position to win, and we did that on day #1." says Coach David Nuhn. "Brae Rogalczyk played amazing golf this week, leaving a 30-foot putt just short on the last to tie for the victory. The first of many opportunities for him as a Vandal I suspect. Charley Simpson played brilliantly on day 1 as well. As clean as I've seen him play as a Vandal. Ben Buchanan once again was steady as he goes, shaking off an early slow start to count 3 rounds for the second week in a row. We certainly have a few important improvements to make. Trysting Tree is a less forgiving test of golf that will require great accuracy and putting should we hope to achieve another top-5 team finish. Go Vandals!"
Idaho returns to play next week at the OSU Invitational, playing at Trysting Tree in Corvallis, Oregon on October 5th - 6th.
