Biography

2008: Barquero earned a pair of all-WAC first team honors in his first season with Idaho. During the indoor season, Barquero ran a personal-best 1:54.34 and took second. He also earned second-team honors after helping the men's distance medley relay take second at the meet. At the outdoor WAC meet, he ran a 1:52.78 and finished third. He ran a career-best 1:52.38 at the Stanford Invitational during the outdoor season. 

Personal: He is the son of Cesar Barquero and Mirtha Fonseca. He was born June 24, 1986 at Lima, Peru. He is majoring in Exercise Science at Idaho.
