2008: Williams had a huge first season as a Vandal, as he earned All-America honors during the outdoor season with a fourth-place finish at the NCAA Championships. He earned one second-team and two first-team all-WAC honors at the WAC Championships, as he placed third in both the long jump and 60m hurdles and tied for fifth in the high jump. He earned three second-team all-WAC honors at the WAC Outdoor Championships with a fourth-place finish in the long jump, a fifth-place finish in the 110m hurdles and a sixth-place finish in the high jump. He also ran a leg of Idaho’s fifth-place 4x100m relay. He jumped a lifetime-best 7.94m (26-0¾) at the Bronco Invitational during the season, a distance that ranks second in school history and was 12th in the United States and 84th in the world for 2008. He qualified for the U.S. Olympic Team Trials in the long jump and finished 21st.

Personal: He is the son of George Williams and Sherre Releford. He was born Dec. 20, 1985 at Seattle, Wash. He has one sister, Sherliecia, and four brothers, Rico, James, Juan and Darrell. His father, George, played football for the Seattle Seahawks. He was a 2006 NJCAA All-American in the 110m hurdles while at Spokane Community College. He is majoring in Economics at Idaho.
