2008: Hale took little time to make an impact at Idaho, as she threw the shot put 13.93m (45-8.5) during the outdoor season and moved to ninth all-time at Idaho in the event as a freshman. She finished eighth at the WAC Outdoor Championships in the shot put and 13th in the discus. She redshirted the indoor season.

Personal: She is the daughter of Barbara Scott. She was born November 1, 1988 at Portland, Ore. She has three sisters, Shanesha, Precious, and Denise, and one brother, Dennis, who played basketball at Fresno State. Her major at Idaho is Business. She was a three-time Mt. Hood Conference champion in the shot put and discus and a 2006 Oregon state champion in the shot put for David Douglas High School.
