2025 BANDON DUNES CHAMPIONSHIP

The premiere collegiate golf tournament in the Northwest, the 16th Bandon Dunes Championship tees off on March 9th, 2025, on the Bandon Trails Course on the idyllic Oregon Coast. The three-day tournament includes 54 holes of challenging golf with a diverse national field.

The tournament began in 2010 and has seen the best of college golf compete on the five courses at the resort. Notre Dame won the first tournament in 2010, and past team champions include Washington, Missouri, Duke, Clemson, Arizona State and Oregon. Hundreds of golf student-athletes have participated in the previous 14 tournaments, including future pros Wyndham Clark, Bryson DeChambeau and Xander Schauffele among others.

Gonzaga University hosted the tournament from its inception, but the University of Idaho took over hosting duties in 2020. Idaho coach David Nuhn is the tournament organizer and heads the rules committee for the event since taking over hosting duties. Nuhn participated in the tournament during his time as a student-athlete, finishing second in the inaugural tournament in 2010.

The Bandon Dunes Resort, a dream by former greeting card executive Mike Keiser, opened in 1999 with the original Bandon Dunes Course designed by David McLay Kidd. Since that time, the resort has grown to include five championship golf courses and a pair of stunning short courses.

The resort has become one of the top golf destinations in the world and hosted multiple USGA National Championships, including the 2020 U.S. Amateur and the 2022 U.S. Junior Amateur. The resort has signed on for 13 more USGA National Championships through 2045.
