2016: Had a breakout season and was voted the Sun Belt Conference’s Newcomer of the Year by the league’s coaches and media members ... led the Vandals in sacks with eight for -45 yards and in tackles for loss with 11 for -51 yards ... also had seven quarterback hurries, two pass breakups, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery ... he was ranked fourth in the Sun Belt and 47th nationally in sacks.
Junior college: Played for East Mississippi.
High school: In addition to football, he also competed in powerlifting at Hattiesburg High School.
Personal: Coleman is the son of Aaron Coleman and the grandson of Betty Goins.
