RS SENIOR (2018): Played in all 11 games, making 10 starts...All-Big Sky Third Team...carried the ball 203 times for career-high 911 yards and six touchdowns...finished career with 2,188 rushing yards - No. 10 in program history...ran for at least 80 yards in eight games...eclipsed 100-yard plateau three times, including season-high 123 yards against Montana (Nov. 10)...scored twice against Montana State (Oct. 13)...caught 13 passes for 55 yards.

RS JUNIOR (2017): Played in all 12 games, starting two...second on team with 506 rushing yards (4.0 yards per carry)...ran for two touchdowns...42.2 yards per game ranked 14th in the Sun Belt...totaled 59 receiving yards, averaging 8.4 yards per catch...scored game-winning touchdown in double overtime against South Alabama (Sept. 23)...season-high 78 rushing yards against Sacramento State (Aug. 31)...season-high 81 all-purpose yards against Louisiana-Lafayette (Oct. 7).

RS SOPHOMORE (2016): Emerged as the driving force out of the Vandal backfield, which featured a three-pronged approach with Saunders, Aaron Duckworth and Denzal Brantley...capped sophomore season in style with 147 yards and three touchdowns on 33 carries in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl...all three numbers are career highs...averaged 112.6 yards and 23.4 carries per game over the last five games...finished the season with 731 yards on 159 carries with nine touchdowns...added 148 yards on 15 receptions to total 879 all-purpose yards.

RS FRESHMAN (2015): Played in all 12 games in a backup role at running back...13 carries for 40 yards, caught two passes for two yards...returned four kickoffs for 74 yards to total 116 all-purpose yards.

FRESHMAN (2014): Redshirted...joined the Vandals in January 2014 as a grayshirt.

High school: As a senior, Saunders led Pleasant Grove with 1,383 yards on 259 carries with 16 going for touchdowns. He added another 13 receptions for 129 yards. Saunders had seven games of 100 or more yards with his career outing 268 yards on 31 carries (six TDs) against Sheldon. He was an all-Delta River selection and played in the 56th annual Optimist All-Star Football Classic. As a junior, he was second on the team with 88 carries for 625 yards and 13 touchdowns. His best that season was 12 carries for 129 yards.

Personal: Son of Walt and Yolanda Saunders...Walt Saunders was a receiver for the Vandals from 1991-93, helping the Vandals to a Big Sky title and playing under then-receivers coach Paul Petrino...earned bachelor's degree in sociology with a criminology emphasis and minor in psychology (fall 2017).
