Biography

SOPHOMORE (2023): Appeared in 10 games... Contributed 13 total tackles, including five solo stops... Tallied two quarterback hurries and one pass break-up.

FRESHMAN (2022): Did not see action in 2022… Redshirted… Contributed on scout team.

HIGH SCHOOL: Xavier is 6-3 defensive end from Chicago, Ill. who brings size and speed to the defensive line. Slayton fits well into the Idaho defensive scheme and the Vandals will look to the use the all-conference and all-area edge rusher as a rush defensive end.

PERSONAL: Xavier is the son of Lem Slaughter and Lauren Slayton and brother to San Francisco 49ers defensive end Chris Slayton. Xavier was an high honor roll student at Crete-Monee High School. He plans on majoring in business at Idaho.
