Biography
Junior Tennis: Potapkin was consistently ranked among the top 10 in Russia as a junior player. He was rated as a four-star prospect by TennisRecruiting.net. He won six matches in the qualifying round of the Russian Men's Open Championships to qualify for the main draw at the event, and eventually advanced all the way to the semifinals. He has received the title of "Master of Sports in Tennis" from the Russian government, one of the highest honors an athlete can earn in the country.
Personal: Potapkin grew up and competed with current Vandal teammate Stanislav Glukhov in Russia. He is a left-handed player. He is majoring in Economics at Idaho.
