Biography

Spring 2011: Lee went 1-0 in singles play in the spring, winning at the No. 6 position in two sets on Feb. 5 against Seattle University. He went 0-1 in doubles play as he teamed up with Jose Bendeck in a loss to Montana State on Feb. 12.

Fall 2010: Lee went 2-2 in singles play and 3-3 in doubles during the fall...he and teammate Alan Shin advanced to the semi-finals in the doubles bracket at the Pacific Northwest Intercollegiate...advanced to the round of 16 in doubles play at the Gonzaga/Eastern Washington Invitational with partner Abid Akbar...also made it to the round of 16 in the singles bracket of the Gonzaga/Eastern Washington Invitational.

2009-10: Lee did not participate in any matches and will take a redshirt season for the 2009-10 season for the Vandals.

Previous School: Lee played tennis at Lewis-Clark State College prior to coming to the University of Idaho. In 2009 he played No. 2 doubles and No. 3 singles in the national tournament. In 2008, he played No. 2 or No. 3 in singles and, for the most part, No. 1 in doubles and posted a 13-10 and 10-12 record, respectively. He won two doubles matches and one singles match against Gonzaga, and a singles match against University of Idaho during the season, and won his singles match against Lindenwood during the first round of the NAIA national tournament.

High School: Attended high school and earned four tennis varsity letters at S.M.K. St. Columba. Was named team captain in 2003, 2004, and 2005. Won division, state, and national tournaments. Was given Athlete of the Year award twice by high school. Lee was the youngest player to win Borneo Island Closed Singes at the age of 15 in 2003. He was No. 1,581 in world ITF junior rankings, and ranked as high as second in national junior ranking. Won two bronzes for Sarawak State in Malaysian Games of 2004.

Personal: He is the son of Audrey Ling and Lee Yat Ping. He has one sister Elaine Lee. His major at the University of Idaho is Chemical Engineering.
