Biography

2015-16: Ballestero became Idaho’s fourth all-time leader in assists this season, totaling 99 on the year...she has 440 total, averaging 3.5 per game...She is 10th on Idaho’s all-time 3-point list with 103 in her career...scored a career-high 19 points in Idaho’s 106-50 win over CSUN...recorded her second career double-double in Idaho’s 107-60 win over Sacramento State...she totaled 11 points and 10 assists...had her best season from the free-throw line, shooting 72.5 percent (37-51)...second in the Big Sky with a 2.2 assist/turnover ratio...started 28 games, giving her 113 career starts (second most in school history)...she played in 127 career games, third most in school history.

2014-15: Started 21 of 29 games…was 10th in the conference with a team-best 3.2 assists per game…ranked 12th in the NCAA and first in the Big Sky with a 2.49 assist turnover ratio…scored a season-high 13 points at home against Northern Arizona…tallied a season-high eight assist Southeast Missouri…averaged 5.6 points and 2.6 rebounds in 27.8 minutes.

2013-14: Ballestero started all 32 games she appeared in for Idaho...she lead the WAC with a 2.52 assist/turnover ratio, ranking her 21st overall in the NCAA...she was third in the WAC with a team-high 4.4 assist per game, totaling 141 on the season...totaled a career-high 17 points against Mount Saint Mary’s on Nov. 15…had a season-high 10 assists at Nevada...made a career-high 39 three-pointers...was seventh in the WAC with a .345 three-point field goal percentage…averaged 7.2 points and 2.8 rebounds in 32.7 minutes.

2012-13: Played in all 33 games for Idaho and made 32 starts during her freshman campaign…averaged 3.3 assists per game and finished the season with a 1.7 assist-to-turnover ratio…had a career-high 11 assists without a turnover at San Jose State on Feb. 2…had nine assists one week later at Denver…had a four-game stretch from Jan. 31 to  Feb. 9 with 28 assists and four turnovers…had her first career double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds against Utah State on Jan. 5, and added six assists in that game…scored in double figures 10 times including a career-high 15 points on two occasions…averaged 7.4 points and 3.7 rebounds per game...hit 36 3-pointers on the season and shot 35.0 percent from long range.

High School: In her first three seasons at Villa Park High School, Ballestero was a first-team all-league selection, a two-time team captain, first-team All-CIF honoree, and team MVP…she averaged 15.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.8 steals per game during her junior season while shooting 42 percent from the field and 30 percent from 3-point distance…also competed in track for the Spartans…Ballestero earned Villa Park High School’s Top Scholar Athlete of the Year honor her junior year, and earned Scholar Athlete honors as a freshman, sophomore and junior.

Personal: Full name is Connie Kathleen Ballestero…born Jan. 27, 1994 in Orange, Calif…daughter of Becky and Carlos Ballestero…older sister, Nicole, played basketball at the Vanguard University before signing a professional contract in Denmark…majoring in elementary education.
