Career: Had a breakout year as a sophomore when she advanced to the NCAA Championship meet in the 100 and 200 fly ... she finished 49th in the 200 fly and 58th in the 100 ... she is the Idaho record holder in both events as well as a member of the record-setting 400 medley relay team.
2014-15: Member of three of the top five fastest 200 free relay teams, four of the top six fastest 400 free relay teams, six of the top 10 fastest 200 medley relay teams, and three of the top five fastest 400 medley relay teams of the season … swam the sixth fastest 50 free time, the top 11 fastest 100 fly times and the top 10 fastest 200 fly times of the season … placed second in the 400 free relay, third in the 200 free relay, fourth in the 200 medley relay, 400 medley relay and 100 fly, fifth in the 200 fly and 11th in the 50 free at the WAC meet.
2013-14: Continued to have a remarkable impact ... advanced to the NCAA Championship Meet and set records in the 100 and 200 fly as well as the 400 medley relay ... in addition to the records, has six of the top 20 100 fly times and the top 11 200 fly times.
2012-13: Huge and immediate impact ... broke school 100 and 200 fly records ... has two of the top four 100 fly times and nine of the top 10 and 11 of the top 13 200 fly times ... won 200 fly at Western Athletic Conference Championship Meet.
High School: Sterbis attended Brookings High School, where she was a state champion, team captain and USA Swimming Academic All-American … posted times of 1:06.6 in the 100m fly and 2:26.73 in the 200m fly.
Personal: she is the daughter of John and Cara Sterbis … majoring in Exercise Science at Idaho.
