Biography

QUOTING COACH BUCHANAN: "Haley was a critical part of our offense this past season. As a three-time all-WAC player I look for her to be one of the top outside hitters in the WAC. She will continue to be a go-to player for us this season."

2007: Played in all 110 games and started all 30 matches... earned first team all-WAC honors... ended the season ranked seventh in the nation for kills per game (5.39). She was ranked in the top seven for 10 consecutive weeks and was ranked as high as No. 2... ranked second on Idaho’s single-season records list with 5.39 kills per game... ranked fourth on Idaho’s single-season records list with 593 kills... tied for seventh on Idaho’s single-season records list with 3.44 digs per game... set a school record for single-season kill attempts with 1,677, besting the previous record by 181... had a season high 35 kills at UC Davis, which ranked second all-time at Idaho and was the eighth-highest kills total in the NCAA for the season... earned WAC Player of the Week honors for the week of Sept. 3-9... earned her first career all-tournament honor at the Cal Molten Classic Tournament... ranked second in the WAC for kills (5.39), third for points (5.85), and 10th for digs (3.44)... ranked second in WAC games for kills (5.32), third for points (5.70) and 10th for digs (3.82)... led the Vandals with 22 double-doubles... had 10-plus kills in 29 of 30 matches... totaled 20-plus kills in 14 matches... ended the season ranked ninth on Idaho’s career records list with 61 double-figure kills matches... set a career high with 26 digs vs. Boise State... was a 2007 Preseason All-Western Athletic Conference selection... ended the season ranked seventh on Idaho’s all-time career records list for kills (1,295)... shared Idaho’s Most Valuable Player honors with Sarah Loney... was a WAC all-academic selection.

2006: Played in 95 games and started 17 matches... earned all-WAC second team honors for the second-consecutive season... led the Vandals with five matches of 20-plus kills... had 13 matches of 10-plus kills... led the Vandals with 317 kills, a 3.34 kills per game average, and a 3.54 points per game average... ranked third on the team in points (336)... had a season-high 25 kills at Louisiana Tech... was a WAC all-academic selection

2005: Played in 102 games as a true freshman for the Vandals and led the team with 385 kills... earned All-WAC second team and All-WAC freshman team honors... was selected as the WAC Player of the Week on one occasion... recorded a UI single-match record 36 kills in the Vandals’ five-game win over San Jose State... the first Vandal since 1995 to record 30+ kills in a match... recorded double-figure kills 19 times and had three matches with 20+ kills... finished the season ranked fifth in the WAC with 3.77 kills per game... one of only two freshman in the top 10 in that category... had a career best .541 attack percentage in the Vandals four-game win over Fresno State.

At Canyon High School: Larsen led the Canyon High School Cowboys to the Division 1-A state playoffs and was a first team All-League selection... also earned MVP honors at the Carpenteria Tournament and was chosen as the Canyon High MVP... was the Cowboy volleyball team captain her senior season... also competed for the Santa Monica Beach Volleyball Club Team.

Personal: Full name is Haley Elizabeth Larsen... born May 8, 1987... daughter of Ballard and Christi Larsen... has one brother, Cole... also played basketball for the Cowboys... majoring in advertising.
