Colton Keintz currently serves as the Interim Director of Athletic Communications, having joined Vandal Athletics as the Associate Director in December 2024. He is responsible for overseeing media relations efforts for all varsity sports at Idaho, working most closely with Football and Men's Basketball. He also oversees the hiring and development of the communication department's intern program.
In his first two seasons in Moscow, Keintz has been a part of a massive online resurgence for Idaho Athletics, leading digital campaigns that resulted in unprecedented YoY growth in online following and engagement for Men's Basketball (+878%) and Volleyball (567%). He has also served as Tournament Director in the return of the "Holiday Hoops Classic" basketball MTE, and as the Media Room Coordinator for Idaho Athletics as the host of the Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight of the 2025 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament in Spokane.
Keintz comes to Moscow by way of Idaho State, where he served as a Sports Information Graduate Assistant for the Bengals’ Cross-Country and Track & Field programs while pursuing his Master’s in Communication. Prior to ISU, Keintz attended the University of Montana, earning his Bachelor’s in Media Arts & Digital Communication in 2021 and completing an internship in the sports information office.
A former student-athlete, Colton was a multi-year starter on the offensive line for the Montana Grizzlies from 2018-2021, a stint that included a victory over the #20 FBS Washington Huskies, the sixth-ever FCS victory over a ranked FBS team.
A native of Missoula, Montana, Colton is happily married to his wife, Sara. Together, they have a golden retriever, Monte.
