Francine Hoffman started at Idaho in 2022 as a sports dietitian graduate assistant. She currently serves as the Associate Athletic Director of Performance Nutrition and Senior Woman Administrator (SWA).
Hoffman earned her BS and MS from South Dakota State University in Nutrition and Dietetics. While earning her degrees, she served as a strength and conditioning intern at University of Sioux Falls, sports nutrition intern with My Sports RD, and a personal trainer at SDSU. She is pursuing a PhD in Adult, Organizational Learning, and Leadership at the University of Idaho.
Hoffman is a board-certified specialist in sports dietetics (CSSD) and holds her MS, RD, CSCS, USAW-L1and NSCA-CPT credentials. She is a professional member of ASPDA (American Sports and Performance Dietetics Association) and NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association). Prior to Idaho, Hoffman worked as a sports dietitian with Power Portions from April 2021 - Dec 2022, working with athletes from the high school to professional level.
In August of 2021, Hoffman was the Clinical Dietitian and Foodservice Supervisor at the Madison Regional Health System. In this role, Hoffman practiced medical nutrition therapy for both inpatient and outpatient settings and oversaw nutrition operations.
Hoffman grew up on a Hereford cattle ranch near Leola, South Dakota.
