TUCSON, Ariz. - University of Idaho senior Nicole Keller continued her strong run this season with a tie for third at the Mountain View Collegiate at Tucson, Ariz.

Keller fired a five-over-par 221 over the 54-hole event. Kansas State's Christine Boucher won the tournament at 217 with Iowa State Louise Kenney second at 218.

"That was a great finish for Nicole in a great field," UI coach Brad Rickel said. "She's continuing a great streak."

Although as a team the Vandals fired a 305 during Sunday's closing round, they'd already dug too much of a hole during the opening 36 holes on Saturday. The result was a ninth-place finish with a team total 932. Iowa State won the tournament with a 54-hole total 892.

Also for the Vandals, Maria Valente tied for 34th (236), Jill Phillips tied for 44th (241), Carlee Hanson tied for 48th (245) and Kate Park tied for 54th (249).
