MOSCOW, Idaho - The University of Idaho's junior college recruiting class expanded to eight with Wednesday's signing of Tone Taupule to a national letter of intent.

Taupule comes to Idaho from Compton Community College. He initially signed at Oregon State University after graduating from Long Beach Jordan High School. He was a second-team Western States Southern Division all-conference choice at Compton last fall.

Taupule, at 6-1, 200, is expected to play linebacker for the Vandals.
