BUDAPEST, Hungary - Former University of Idaho standout Joachim Olsen finished third in the shot put at the World Indoor Track Championships March 7.

Olsen, competing for his native Denmark, took third with a mark of 68-10. His personal best mark in the shot put is 70-9 set in 2002. Christian Cantwell of the United States won the event with a throw of 70-6.

Angela Whyte was the other former Vandal competing at the Championships. She finished sixth in her heat of the 60m hurdle prelims in a time of 8.17. She did not qualify for the semi-finals.
