University of Idaho senior punter T.J. Conley, the nation's leader on the field, has added another accolade to his file. Conley earned second-team recognition on the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American Football Team.
Conley is one of 48 FBS student-athletes nationwide honored by CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) on the all-America team. A civil engineering major, Conley is the lone player from the Western Athletic Conference to be honored.
He is the current NCAA punting leader with an average of 47.43 yards per kick - .28 better than runner-up Jacob Richardson from Miami (Ohio). He averaged more than 50 yards per kick in five games and had a long of 74 at Utah State.
