MOSCOW - The University of Idaho women's tennis team bolstered the roster for next season with the addition of Dominika Jasova.
Jasova, currently a high school senior in Kosice, Slovakia, is playing in ITF professional events in Europe after a successful junior career in which she was ranked as high as 1007 and defeated players in the top-400.
"Dominika is an excellent addition to our team," women's tennis head coach Tyler Neill said. "I think she will make an immediate impact in both singles and doubles her freshman year."
She is currently ranked 11th in the Slovakian rankings and she also won the East Slovakian Championships over the summer. In 2007, Jasova was ranked 136 for her age category in Europe.
"She has a lot of experience in high level junior and adult tournaments that should make her transition to college tennis relatively seamless," Neill said. "I'm looking forward to having her compete for us next year."
