Vandals Race in Boise

The Idaho Swim and Dive team raced against the Boise State Broncos this weekend during a two-day meet in Boise. The Vandals competed well against the Broncos but came up just short of victory with a team score of 185-148.

The Vandal freshman put on a great performance in their first college meet of their careers. Maryann Kok placed first in the 100 breast followed by Clothilde Peseux placing 3rd. The Vandal freshman also placed top four finishes in the 100 free event with Kok leading the way followed by Aileen Pannecoucke, Emily Kliewer and Sarah Hall. They also placed the top three finishes in the 200 fly with Vivian Crow finishing first followed by Brianna Fleeman and Emily Kliewer. Sarah Hall won the 1,000 free event and Emily Bruneel placed second. Junior Mia Goodwin also placed Third in the 1,00 free and sophomore Delaney Boulo finished fourth.

The Vandal divers put on a great performance as well. Sophomore Nikki Imanaka placed third in the 1-meter dive and freshman Indya Williams placed fourth. Sophomore Hailey Kessler placed second in the 3-meter dive.

"We saw a lot of good things and a lot more we need to work on. We are excited to get back to work on Monday "
