Bring on the Big Sky

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Idaho kicks off Big Sky play with a trip to North Dakota on Thursday.  Tipoff is set for 3 p.m. (Pacific), as the Vandals look to stay hot as conference games begin.

MATCHUP – Idaho (8-5) is 1-1 all-time against North Dakota (5-6).  Last season, the Vandals fell at home, 71-63.  Arkadiy Mkrtychyan had a solid day, finishing with 13 points and eight boards off the bench.

LAST TIME OUT – Idaho took down UC Davis, 68-51.  Perrion Callandret was solid, leading the Vandals with 18 points and four assists.  Idaho scored the first bucket of the game and never looked back, leading for the entire game.

NONCONFERENCE – Idaho was successful during the non-conference portion of the schedule, going 8-5 overall, including winning the final three games.  The Vandals challenged themselves in non-conference play, taking on several top-quality opponents.

BIG SKY PLAY – Idaho opens Big Sky play with three straight games on the road before returning home to take on Northern Arizona on January 14.
