Ryan Porch had a two-under 70 Monday to climb into a tie for 24
th with 18 holes to play in the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational.
Porch had birdies on three par-4s as well as one of the par-5s to offset two bogeys en route to his team-leading score.
Chris Carew was one shot better Monday with a 77 and JT Bloomer improved by four, also for a 77 – a second-round score matched by
Holden Bistline.
Enrique Marin, with an 80 Monday, is tied for 82
nd with Bistline, while Carew is tied for 86
th and Bloomer for 92
nd.
"The guys, I felt, really hit the ball a lot better today," coach
David Nuhn said. "They understood where to strategically place it."
The Vandals are tied for 18
th with a 603 after combining for a 301 Monday.
Mississippi retained its lead with a 553, while Missouri's Hayden Buckley is the individual leader at 10-under 134.
