WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. – Senior Ryan Porch was tied for 38^th after the opening rounds of the Southwestern Invitational but only the University of Idaho completed its two rounds before play was called because of darkness. The remainder of the 14-team field will finish the second round before teeing off in the final round Tuesday.
 
 Porch fired a five-over 149 over the first two rounds for a 149 in just the second tournament of the spring for the University of Idaho.
 
Enrique Marin is just four strokes back and tied for 60^th, while J.T. Bloomer is tied for 77^th at 162, Ethan Atherstone is tied for 80^th at 166, and Klaus Ganter is 83^rd after a 176 during the first two rounds.
 
The young Vandal team combined for a 628 during the first day.
