MOSCOW, Idaho – Idaho men's hoops is set to host the opening round of the 2017 CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament on Facebook Live, with Stephen F. Austin making its way to Memorial Gym at 8 p.m. on Wednesday night.  The game will be part of a double-header with the women, who take on Utah State in the first round of the Women's Basketball Invitational at 5:30 p.m.  Tickets for the double-header are just $10.

LAST TIME OUT: Idaho earned a win over Montana in the quarterfinals of the Big Sky Tournament in Reno, topping the Griz 81-77.  The Vandals got up early and stayed up for most of the contest, fighting off a late rally by Montana behind some clutch buckets from Victor Sanders and free throws from freshman Trevon Allen.
 
The Vandals then lost a tough one against eventual champions North Dakota.  The Fighting Hawks got up by 17 in the opening minutes but the Vandals chipped away to make a game out of things.  Idaho would go on a furious run to start the second half, taking a six-point lead midway through the frame, but North Dakota responded as the regular season champs should, eventually earning the 69-64 win.
 
LAST MEETING/COMMON OPPONENTS: Idaho has never faced Stephen F. Austin in men's basketball.  These two teams have one common opponent from this season, in Sam Houston State.  Idaho fell on the road, while SFA split its two conference meetings with SHSU.
 
CIT: This is the second straight year that Idaho has advanced to a postseason tournament, after taking part in the CBI last year.  It is the fourth CIT bid for the Vandals, with the last coming in 2011-12.  Idaho is 2-3 all-time in the CIT, but is 2-0 in Memorial Gym.
