GRAND FORKS, N.D—The Idaho men's tennis team picked up its first win of the spring on Friday. The Vandals defeated conference rival North Dakota, 6-1.
The Vandals won all but one match in singles. All four of the top courts went to Idaho.
Mark Kovacs got the point at No. 1 over Lukas Buth, 7-6(2), 6-1.
Carlos Longhi Neto took the No. 2 court, 6-3, 6-4, over Daniel Martinez. Scarpelli and Fonseca won at No. 3 and 4, respectively.
Santibanez rounded out the day for Idaho with a quick 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 6
The Vandals will conclude the week on Sunday at Northern Colorado.Â
