MOSCOW, Idaho – Marquell Fraser and Trevon Allen both surpassed 20 points, but the Idaho men's basketball team fell, 88-81, to Central Washington on Tuesday evening in an exhibition game.
THE GAME
Grad transfer Quinton Forrest started hot, recording six points and four boards in the first 10 minutes, but the Wildcats built an eight point lead by the halftime buzzer.
With just under 10 minutes to play in the second half, the Vandals cut the deficit to three on a steal and slam dunk by Allen and made free throw by Scott Blakney. However, CWU went on a 14-1 run to go up by 16, 77-61, with 6:10 remaining. Idaho slowly chipped away, getting within five, but the home team ran out of time, and ultimately fell.
Allen finished with 24 points, seven rebounds, and four steals. Fraser tallied 20 points and six boards.
THE NAME
Quinton Forrest. Forrest had a double-double, scoring 15 points and pulling down 11 boards in the game. The grad transfer got his first action as a Vandal, going 7-for-7 from the floor and also adding one block.
THE NOTES
Six players saw action as Vandals for the first time on Tuesday night, with five of them recording their first Idaho points.
The Vandals won the second half, 48-47.
Idaho outrebounded CWU, 38-33, including a 13-5 edge on the offensive boards.

The Vandals have one final exhibition before the regular season begins. Idaho will welcome Lewis-Clark State College on Tuesday, October 29. The game will tip off at 7 p.m. in Memorial gym.
