Competition Begins at Ron Moore Invitational

RESULTS

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. –
Idaho men's golf traveled to Colorado for the Ron Moore Invitational at the Highlands Ranch Golf Club, opening play on Friday.
 
The Vandals finished day one in seventh overall, with Colt Sherrell leading the way.  He shot an opening-round 2-over 73 to end the day tied for 25th.  Joel Veenstra was one shot behind and tied for 32nd at 3-over.
 
A trio of Vandals shot 4-over on the day.  Joseph Glenn, Jackson Jacob and Jack Plaster all finished tied for 37th.
 
Denver and Wyoming are currently tied for the team lead at 4-under as a team.  Wyoming's Kirby Coe-Kirkham jumped out to a commanding lead as an individual, going 6-under on day one.
 
Competition continues on Saturday.
