FARMINGTON, Utah – A pair of Vandals have been recognized by the league with the 2019 All-Big Sky Conference teams announced on Friday.
Taylor Brust took home First Team honors, while
Hadley Sbrega earned Honorable Mention accolades.
Brust moved to the back line midway through the season after a number of injuries decimated the defense. She scored a pair of goals in the second-to-last weekend of the year to earn Big Sky Offensive Player of the Week, despite being a defender. Her first goal leveled the score against NAU, while her second gave Idaho the 2-1 overtime win over Southern Utah on Senior Day.
Sbrega, a 2018 All-Big Sky Second Team honoree, earned honorable mention accolades in 2019. She missed a handful of games early in the season due to injury but bounced back to be one of the steady leaders in the Idaho midfield. She scored her lone goal of the season at Eastern Washington.
