SPOKANE, Wash. – Men's tennis competed at the Gonzaga Fall Invitational over the weekend, earning a number of quality wins in the final fall tournament of the year.
Esteban Santibanez and
Bruno Casino teamed up to win the blue doubles draw. They began the tournament with a tough 8-6 win over Pankin and Neos of Portland, then defeated the hosts, Gonzaga, 8-7 (5) in the semifinals. Santibanez and Casino closed strong against the top-ranked team in the draw, from Portland, 8-3.
Casino advanced to the semifinals of the red singles draw. He opened with a win over Portland's Nick Oberg, the top-ranked player in the draw, 6-4, 6-4. He then defeated Montana's Cameron Isbell, 6-7 (4), 6-2, 6-2, before ultimately falling in the semis in straight sets.
Vivek Ramesh also earned a spot in the semis, of the white draw. He began the tournament with a win over Montana's Pontus Hallgren, 6-4, 5-7, 7-5. He then took down Adrian Alvarez-Sanabria of Seattle U., 6-4, 6-2, but fell to Gonzaga's Bryan Husin, the top-ranked player in the draw, 6-2, 6-2.
Francisco Bascon - Perez won his opening match, 7-6 (4), 6-1, over Max Korkh of Montana.
Guilherme Scarpelli earned a win in the consolation bracket on Saturday, 6-1, 6-2, over Gonzaga's Simon Homedes Dualde.

Alejandro Sedeno in the consolation bracket of the white draw, 6-4, 6-1.
