CEDAR CITY, Utah – Idaho volleyball closes out the regular season with a pair of road contests, at Southern Utah on Thursday night at 5:30 p.m. Pacific and at Northern Arizona on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. Pacific.

LAST MEETING: Idaho (13-15, 9-7 BSC) split the first two sets with Southern Utah (13-15, 6-10 BSC) in the first meeting, just over one month ago.  The Vandals took care of business in the following two sets, 25-19 and 25-20, to win the match 3-1.  
Paige Rupiper had a fantastic night, finishing with 18 kills while hitting .333.
 
The Vandals dropped the opening set against the Lumberjacks (15-10, 11-5 BSC) in the first meeting, but rallied from there to win 3-1.  Idaho closed out the final set in dominant fashion, 25-14.  
Kyra Palmbush set a career-high with 17 kills on the match, and 
Delaney Hopen recorded 29 digs.
 
BIG SKY: Idaho currently sits in a tie for fourth, with Montana State, in the Big Sky standings.  The Bobcats would hold the tiebreaker over the Vandals after sweeping the season series.  Idaho could rise as high as third, with a pair of wins and an EWU win over NAU on Thursday.  The Vandals can finish no worse than sixth in the standings.
 
DEFENDING CHAMPS: Idaho tied for the conference lead last season, earning its first Big Sky Championship since rejoining the league.  The Vandals finished the regular season at 15-3 and took the No. 2 seed into the Big Sky Tournament.
 
NEXT: Idaho will head out to Sacramento for the 2019 Big Sky Volleyball Championship.  Play begins on Thanksgiving, Nov. 28.
