MOSCOW, Idaho— Idaho women's tennis is beginning to take shape as head coach
Babar Akbar announces the addition of Nicole Horacek, a native of Vancouver, British Columbia, Friday.
The high school senior will be joining the Vandals and is set to compete in the fall of 2019.
According to tennisrecruiting.net, Horacek had a career-high ranking of 857 in the International Tennis Federation (OTF) junior world. The five-foot-eight athlete recently took part in the Davis Trading Junior ITF Indoor Championships where she competed in the Main Draw for both singles and doubles. In doubles, Horacek made it to the Quarterfinals.
The two-time Provincial champion holds a career record of 8-15 in singles play and 14-15 in double within the ITF Juniors division. Horacek, a well-rounded athlete, has talents in many other sports as well, which includes ski racing, figure skating, soccer and field hockey.
