Short Earns All-America Second Team Honors

Finishes 15th in Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.
– Junior thrower Zachary Short earned All-America Second Team honors on Friday night, placing 15th in the shot put at the 2019 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
 
Short's first throw was his best.  He threw 18.63 meters (61-1.5) to open the competition and finished 15th overall.  Payton Otterdahl of North Dakota State won the event with a throw of 21.71 meters (71-2.75).
 
Short owns the Big Sky record in the event after throwing 19.81 meters (65-0.00) at the Big Sky Indoor Championships to win the event two weeks ago.
