Idaho Team Challenge
MOSCOW, Idaho - Idaho track and field returns to the P1FCU Kibbie Dome for Friday's Idaho Team Challenge, facing off against athletes from Eastern Washington, Washington State, and Lewis-Clark State. Competition will begin with the women's weight throw at 12:30, and the track events are set to start at 1 p.m.
Idaho's sprinters have gotten off to an incredibly strong start this season and look to continue that momentum at home. The Vandals currently hold four of the top 10 fastest 60-meter times in the Big Sky this season. Jana Willems has led the pack from the beginning in 2026 and reset her personal best at last weekend's Inland Northwest Invite, flying to a time of 7.54 in the event, the second fastest time ever by a Vandal woman. Blossom Omogor started the season strong, running a 7.58 at the Spokane Sports Showcase to put herself ninth in the conference, followed by Alyssa Marsh and Rhyan Madden, who ran identical 7.60 times over the first three meets of the year.
Keenan Kuntz currently holds the top 60-meter time in the Big Sky, leading second place by nearly a tenth. The sophomore ran a school record 6.66 to open the season and looks to improve on it Friday. Last time out in Moscow, JaRae Long dashed to a 6.86 in the 60 to put himself ninth in the conference rankings. The men's 60 will open the track events and is set to run the prelims at 1 p.m., followed by the women's prelims at 1:15.
Jesuye Doherty, the reigning Big Sky indoor champion, is set to make his season debut in the long jump. The Adelaide, Australia native placed his name fifth in Idaho's indoor record book last season and has represented his nation on the international stage at the U20 World Championships. Fellow jumpers Jada Miller, Hanna Tait, and Mara Fuerniss have all started 2026 well, with top-eight jumps among conference athletes, and return to Moscow seeking more. The women's long jump starts at 1 p.m., and the men's competition will follow at 2.
Cami Cvitkovich is another jumper to watch, and she worked her name to second in Vandal history in the event at the Lauren McCluskey Invitational in Moscow two weekends ago. Cvitkovich will continue her quest for the school record at 1 p.m. Friday.
