SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Idaho track and field had one student-athlete competing on Friday at the 2019 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships Preliminary Rounds, with
Austin Beyer competing in the javelin.
Beyer threw 63.26 meters (207-6) to open competition and finished 27
th overall. He entered the meet ranked 32
nd in the West.
Beyer finishes his Vandal career in eighth in program history with a career-best throw of 64.43 meters (212-0). He advanced to the First Rounds of the NCAA Championships in each of his final two seasons.
Zachary Short closes out competition for the Vandals tomorrow, competing in the shot put at 2:45 p.m.
