Idaho men's golf will begin the 2019-20 season Monday, at the Husky Invite, hosted by Washington. The two-day, 54-hole tournament will feature two rounds Monday, beginning at 7:15 a.m. The final 18 holes will be played Tuesday.

THE LINEUP: Idaho will open the season with a lineup boasting a mix of experienced Vandals and fresh faces. Freshman
Jackson Jacob will make his collegiate debut, while sophomores
Joseph Glenn and
Jack Plaster will be playing their fifth and second tournaments, respectively. Fellow sophomore
Colt Sherrell is back after earning Big Sky Freshman of the Year honors a year ago. Junior
Cole Chrisman rounds out the lineup, having played in 16 tournaments over his first two seasons at Idaho.

THE COURSE: The 2019 Husky Invite will be held at the Olympic Course at Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, Wash. The course will play 7,159 yards and par 72. Gold Mountain was the site of the 2015 NCAA Regional hosted by Washington.

THE FIELD: Idaho is one of 15 teams competing at the Husky Invite, including tournament-host Washington. Also scheduled to appear: Boise State, Gonzaga, Hawaii, Long Beach State, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Oregon State, Saint Mary's, San Diego, San Diego State, Seattle and Washington State. Seven of the teams in the field finished the 2019 season ranked in the Golfstat Top 75.

SHERRELL HONORED: Idaho sophomore
Colt Sherrell is the reigning Big Sky Freshman of the Year. Sherrell was also named All-Big Sky Second Team. He held a 74.0 scoring average and closed the season by finished tied for 21st at the Big Sky Conference Championships.
